Cell Banking

Avecia provides cGMP cell banking, cell bank storage and testing to support customers’ development programmes. Master Cell Banks (MCBs) and Working Cell Banks (WCBs) are either derived from existing customer cell banks or manufactured from a single cloned cell.

Avecia’s cell banking capabilities include:

• manufacture of cGMP MCB and WCBs
• cell bank characterisation
• genetic characterisation - DNA sequencing, PCR, etc
• secure storage with backed-up power supply
