Avecia's Analytical Development group develops and verifies the assays required for early development programmes prior to their transfer to Quality Control. Physico-chemical and biological assays are required for the detection of:

other molecular forms of the molecule
impurities
potency
The group works closely with the programme team to ensure that the effect of any changes to the process can be measured and acted upon.
